Lianne Chua joined the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and WTCA Los Angeles - Long Beach in October 2005. Lianne has 15 years of experience in international trade, international business development, and sales and marketing in high-tech and bio medical industries, and economic development.

Lianne has spent the last four years representing the Los Angeles County in attracting foreign direct investment and providing trade consulting to local companies. Lianne earned extensive knowledge in import, export and channel management when she worked for US manufacturers and businesses in Singapore and Asia for 11 years.

With the extensive cross-cultural experience in Asia and U.S., and bilingual in English and Chinese, Lianne has been instrumental in attracting foreign investment to Los Angeles County. She has planned and participated in 6 investment and trade missions to Asia with Los Angeles County Supervisors, Port and Airport Commissioners, and hosted numerous foreign delegations.

She earned a bachelor's degree in Commerce, Marketing and Management from Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia and a master's degree in International Business (IBEAR program) from University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
